Time Out New York says "The Hundred in the Hands music springs from that sliver of the early '80s in which pop was personal, arty and potentially angry," while Brooklyn Vegan calls their EP "a bit post-punky, a bit shoegaze-y but sounds like now. And you can dance to it." The new recording follows the bands first national tour and a wave of critical praise from the U.K. and Europe.The Hundred in the Hands is an album of deceptively complex pop songs which hark back to the dance music of NYC's storied underground. Where their recent EP feels like a summertime pop dream, THITH's album conjures the spirit of downtown'smutant disco scene as made legendary by clubs like the Paradise Garage.

Format Detail: Gatefold flexi gold foil

Format: CD

Genre: Rock

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0563/8085/0374/files/the-hundred-in-the-hands-the-hundred-in-the-hands_9clDm.jpg?v=1770683559
this-desert-ep-cd
This Desert EP [CD]
This Desert strikes a path that touches on elegant French pop, blissed out dub, house and post-punk. The 6-track EP setsthe stage for deeper explorations on a full-length this fall. The Brooklyn-based duo consisting of Jason Friedman and Eleanore Everdell creates emotionally charged and intensely driving music, which harks back to the most classic of dance songs from NYCs storied underground.The band describes the EP as, "The more ethereal, gauzy side of our tastes; the Summertime-Gothic and dreamy tracks we made thinking theyd go well with open hydrants and looks that kill." But The Hundred in the Hands self-description belies more than just a dance band.
