Robert Skoro first found his way onto the scene as an essential component of Mason Jennings' band, but with the release of "That These Things Could Be Ours," the 24-year-old Minneapolis singer-songwriter's Yep Roc debut, Skoro steps out front with a batch of gorgeously sculpted, orchestrated pop songs that call to mind the Shins, Pernice Brothers and Wilco's Jeff Tweedy. In his early 20s, the producer/multi-instrumentalist turned his attention to writing and recording his own material.
