Devo's Hardcore documents the group's beginning as pre-Punk outcasts in the fertile Akron, Ohio, underground Rock scene. Brothers Mothersbaugh (Mark, Bob and Jim) and Brothers Casale (Jerry and Bob) along with drummer Alan Myers soon whipped up an otherworldly brand of 'devolved blues'. Recorded on various four-track machines and in tiny studios, basements and garages between 1974-1977, Hardcore reveals their strikingly clear vision: rock 'n' roll stripped bare of it's collective cool and jerked back into propaganda fit for post-modern man. It's no surprise that these transmissions would soon catch the eye and ear of Brian Eno, who later produced their landmark 1978 debut album.

UPC: 857176003249
Label: Superior Viaduct
Release Date: 6.25.13
Format: Vinyl

The "Somewhere With Devo" suite was performed live, one night only, as the encore of the band's Total Devo concert at The Palace in Hollywood, CA 12/9/88.

The Devo re-mix set by DJ Kinky from 2010, also included here, was never released previously.

1 Somewhere With Devo 2 Freedom of Choice 3 What We Do 4 Peek-a-Boo 5 Cameo 6 Step Up

UPC: 760137466710
Label: Imports
Release Date: 6.12.21
Format: Vinyl

Pre-Order: Q: Are We Not Men? Though Brian Eno butted heads with the band during the recording process, the merits of his production emerge like never before. The sonic treatments that turn Devo's keyboards into the equivalent of futuristic machines; the metallic effects and pointed sharpness of the percussion; the crispness of the arrangements; the herky-jerk motion of the singing; the stickiness of the bizarre time signatures: Q: Are We Not Men?
