The debut album from Fonzi Thornton, who sang background vocals for Luther Vandross and Chic, scored a hit with the R&B smash 'Beverly'. Fonzi came with a very strong, hard driving voice that surely knew how to deliver a song, whether it being an up tempo disco favorite or a classic love ballad. The album features a virtual who's who in the music business; Nile Rodgers, Bernard Edwards and Kashif, so you know you're in for a real treat. Backing vocals were supplied plentifully by the likes of Norma Jean Wright, Jocelyn Brown, Phillip Ballou, Tawatha and Alfa Anderson (of Chic fame).
