The soundtrack to visionary director Nicholas Ray's 1963 epic 55 Days At Peking finally gets it's due with this re release of it's masterful score by Dimitri Tiomkin. Tiomkin, no stranger to the Western epic having scored the films Red River and Duel in the Sun, is able to imbue the film with the grandeur it's heightened action sequences deserve.
