The music of the Japanese New Wave band Cock c'Nell is clearly underrated. Their first album, released in 1986 by Balcony Records, can be considered a masterpiece of the Japanese underground scene in 80s era. Featuring contributions from Tori Kudo of Maher Shalal Hash Baz, Akihiro Ishiwatari, and Takeharu Hayakawa, the ethereal vocals of Setsu Nogata beautifully resonate throughout all the tracks, with "Yoru no Uta (The Night Song)" standing out as a particularly special piece.
