The Blue EP follows up Death Cab for Cutie‚Äôs latest full length, Thank You For Today, which was released last summer and debuted as the #1 album on Billboard‚Äôs Top Rock Albums and Alternative Charts, as well as the band‚Äôs first #1 album on the Billboard Vinyl Charts.

The band announced The Blue EP on July 30th with the release of ‚ÄúKids in ‚Äò99‚Äù, a song that recalls the Olympic Pipeline Explosion in 1999, an event that happened during one of their earliest rehearsals as a band in their hometown of Bellingham, WA.

‚ÄúTo The Ground‚Äù and ‚ÄúBefore The Bombs‚Äù were recorded during the album sessions for Thank You For Today and produced by Rich Costey. ‚ÄúKids In 99‚Äù and ‚ÄúBlue Bloods‚Äù were produced by Peter Katis. The Blue EP is available on 180-gram vinyl.

If your order includes apparel or pre-orders, they will ship separately with their own flat-rate charge.

Do you ship in-stock and pre-order items separately?

Yes. In-stock items ship immediately, while pre-orders ship separately just before or on their release date. You won’t have to wait for your entire order to be available before receiving your in-stock items.
