Best known for his guitar work with Steely Dan, most notably the often imitated but never duplicated guitar solo on "Reelin in the Years," ace studio guitarist Elliot Randall has worked with some of the biggest names in music including John Lennon, the Doobie Brothers, Roberta Flack, Joan Baez, Gladys Knight, Bob Marley, Amy Grant, Astrud Gilberto, Kate Bush, Ashford & Simpson, Chuck Berry - the list goes on and on. On his rare 1977 solo album, "Elliot Randall's New York," Elliot enlists the help of some of New York City's (and the world's) finest musicians including master drummers Steve Gadd, Jeff Porcaro and Alan Schwartzberg; bassists Tony Levin, Will Lee and Bob Babbitt; percussionists Ralph MacDonald and Rubens Bassini; the Tokens vocal group; organist Paul Griffin and many more top players. Finally available in the digital domain, all selections have been newly remastered.
