PRE-ORDER: Bach & Schubert: Pno Works - Maria Teresa Assing [CD]

Leading Danish female pianist with new CDJOHANN SEBASTIAN BACHThe final aim and reason of all music is nothing other than the glorification of God and the refreshment of the spirit.FRANZ SCHUBERTMy compositions spring from my sorrows. Those that give the world the greatest delight were born of my deepest griefs.MARIA TERESA ASSINGBach creates a soundscape imbued with eternity and profound meaning; his music holds the answers to the soul's deepest questions. Schubert remains in this world yet simultaneously visits other horizons. He grieves, but through this subjectivity, he portrays life with an objectivity that causes it to resonate throughout the world. Bach had a realistic relationship with poetry, and Schubert a poetic relationship with reality. Bach portrays the cosmic and the divine, while Schubert depicts the human drama. It is this light from Bach that I wish to cast upon Schubert in this recording - with transparency and clarity.
