Dance Hall Crashers delivered their heaviest album yet withPurr. Produced by Fat Mike and mixed by Tim Palmer, therecord captures the punchy, arena-scale energy of their liveshows. Highlights include the ferocious opener "Beverly Kills,"the anti-suck-up anthem "The Real You," the grungy"Remember to Breathe," and '60s-pop-infused "Make HerPurr." The band pairs their signature ska-punk hooks andbiting lyrics with moments of vulnerability, like the acoustictrack "Cricket." Ultimately, Purr stands as a studio release thatfully captures DHC's live intensity, sharp wit, and genre-blending sound.
