Digitally remastered edition of this 1984 album from the British Prog/Art rockers. The Spell was initially pressed as a limited edition vinyl record and self-distributed by The Enid. Unavailable on CD for a long time, this re-issue of the Spell features the original cover artwork from the vinyl sleeve, alongside the lyrics and additional notes about the recording. "The Spell is a musical allegory in which the seasons are used to depict the cyclic and seasonal nature of all things." the music begins with the casting of the Spell; a dark Wagnerian fanfare where the allusion to Parsifal is obvious. The bleakness of winter is heard and the ice begins to melt as the first glimmer of dawn breaks. Seven tracks. 2009.

  2. Spring
  3. Summer
  4. Autumn "Veni Creator Spiritus"
