Taking stock in themselves and their music after many crushing but profitable years on the road, Foghat came up with this record of hard electric blues. Coming from a variety of sources, Stone Blue could be looked upon and retreading familiar ground. If that's the case, Foghat should do it more often, because Stone Blue delivers the goods. Not as rocking as previous releases, it still holds listeners' attention with bluesy electric fire and interesting break in form. ~ James Chrispell
