30 Jaar (LIMITED TURQUOISE) [Vinyl]

Van Dik Hout was formed in 1985 in Den Helder, where school friends Martin Buitenhuis, Dave Rensmaag, Sandro Assorgia, and Benjamin Kribben started a band that performed under various names.

The group's national breakthrough came in May 1994, when the single ''Stil in mij'' became a hit. Between 2002 and 2005, this song was repeatedly voted by 3FM listeners as the best Dutch-language single of all time.

In the years that followed, the band scored several major hits in the Netherlands. More successful albums—mostly written by the Assorgia/Buitenhuis duo—soon followed.

They also performed at major festivals, including the Liberation Festival in Haarlem (1994), Pinkpop (1995, 1998), Lowlands (1996), and Parkpop (1996). During their Lowlands show, Van Dik Hout surprised press and audience alike by playing several songs with ''mystery guest'' Herman Brood, including ''Pijn,'' which was later released as a single.

Van Dik Hout will give a concert on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at AFAS Live in Amsterdam. The band will celebrate the 30th anniversary of ''Stil in Mij'' that evening, joined by several musical friends.

30 Jaar is a brand-new compilation album from Van Dik Hout, featuring their greatest hits of the past 30 years, including ''Stil In Mij,'' ''Stap Voor Stap,'' ''Mijn Houten Hart,'' ''Zij Maakt Het Verschil,'' ''Één Nacht Eeuwigheid,'' ''Op De Golven Dansen Wij,'' ''Elk Verloren Uur,'' and more.
