The first solo album from guitarist Jimmy Herring, known for his amazing guitar work with the Allman Brothers, the Dead, Phil Lesh and Friends, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Project Z, Frog wings, Jazz is Dead and currently holding down the lead guitar chair for Widespread Panic. With LIFEBOAT, Jimmy Herring is poised to move from sideman to the center stage with foot stomping southern-flavored rockers; to modern bop and fusion; to a cover of the Wayne Shorter composition "Lost". LIFEBOAT is a wide-ranging work that encompasses various musical genres: rock, jam, jazz and blues.
