Since the co-starring of “Rass!” (MPS label) by jazz pianist Monty Alexander from Kingston, Jamaica, Ernest, the world’s best guitarist in Jamaica, has fascinated listeners all over the world with outstanding compatibility. An album that welcomed Langlin again and played a major role in defining music that should be called “jazz reggae” that combines roots reggae and jazz.

A live recording of the Montreux Jazz Festival in June 1995, including a cover by Bob Marley, and the following month, in July 1995, a studio in Geneva that kept the live vibration.. Monty Alexander’s “Love Notes” (B2) is a masterpiece in the history of jazz reggae, with the most beautiful dialogue between Monty Alexander’s piano and Ernest Ranglin’s guitar.
