Seelie Court - the world's premier label for rare and previously unreleased archive recordings of underground folk, rock, proto-metal, and psychedelic music presents "The Masterpeace". a hauntingly rare 1968 folk-rock album by John Strang, Valentine Lewis Lloyd, and Martin Farquharson. Originally pressed in a mere 25 copies, it remained virtually unheard for decades until it's 2020 reissue by Seelie Court. Strang, who later became a leading authority on addiction psychiatry, recorded this album at just 17 years old in Wales. The album features a blend of introspective lyrics and minimalist acoustic arrangements, drawing comparisons to early Donovan. Notably, it includes multiple versions of the title track, "Masterpeace," showcasing the band's experimental approach.
